**Job Description**
General Purpose:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment within the facility. Perform required performance maintenance (PM’s) as scheduled.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, program, maintain, document, and troubleshoot programmable logic controls (PLC) and components
Plan and coordinate installation of electronic controls
Assist in training other maintenance staff as needed
Report daily to maintenance manager on the status of projects and repairs
Assist in regulatory tests of plant instrumentation and document results as required
Understand and monitor plant systems: HVAC, Compressed Air, electrical, glycol chillers, etc.
Provide capability in PM related activities
Document all work performed
Assist as needed on all types of maintenance calls throughout the plant
Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Part of a monthly on call rotation

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or specialized trade school preferred
3 years of maintenance experience, including experience with electronic controls and PLC units
1 year of specialized training in PLC’s or equivalent preferred
Certification and/or License – Forklift certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures
Able to use shop mathematics with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and various types of adjustable measuring instruments
Strong understanding of controls used in the plant and how they affect production
Knowledge of machine shop equipment
Able to troubleshoot problems
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision
Able to lead and instruct others on the proper and safe procedures
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Compensation Details:
The starting rate is $30.00, but increases over time.
