Master Maintenance Technician
**Job Description** General Purpose: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment within the facility. Perform required performance maintenance (PM’s) as scheduled. Job Duties and Responsibilities:  Install, program, maintain, document, and troubleshoot programmable logic controls (PLC) and components  Plan and coordinate installation of electronic controls  Assist in training other maintenance staff as needed  Report daily to maintenance manager on the status of projects and repairs  Assist in regulatory tests of plant instrumentation and document results as required  Understand and monitor plant systems: HVAC, Compressed Air, electrical, glycol chillers, etc.  Provide capability in PM related activities  Document all work performed  Assist as needed on all types of maintenance calls throughout the plant  Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion  Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues  Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements  The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Part of a monthly on call rotation **Night position- hours and days to be determined **Requirements** An Equal Opportunity Employer Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience  High school diploma, GED, or specialized trade school preferred  3 years of maintenance experience, including experience with electronic controls and PLC units  1 year of specialized training in PLC’s or equivalent preferred  Certification and/or License – Forklift certification preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities  Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures  Able to use shop mathematics with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and various types of adjustable measuring instruments  Strong understanding of controls used in the plant and how they affect production  Knowledge of machine shop equipment  Able to troubleshoot problems  Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing  Able to follow directions and meet deadlines  Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision  Able to lead and instruct others on the proper and safe procedures  Must be able to read, write and speak English Compensation Details: The starting rate is $30.00, but increases over time. This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, short term disability, 401k and flex spending/HSA benefits. **Pay Range** 30.00
