As a Master Instructor – Racquet Sports, you will be leading comprehensive programs including but not limited to badminton, squash, racquetball, and tennis to meet the needs of all registered adult, youth and/or child participants.  You must be a skilled instructor and capable of instructing a wide range of skill sets related to your scheduled sport.  You will also be expected to act as a knowledgeable resource to participants and their families to ensure that instruction is conducted in a safe environment that encourages participation and person development. Other duties include:

Job Responsibilities:Arrive at your program site in time to properly prepare, set up and start the program according to schedule.Develop a detailed program plans for a variety of ages and skill levelsFollow the class format and content as requiredEnsure on-site safety of participantsDeliver exceptional customer service (including welcoming, conduct and communication) to all participantsMeet with prospective customers to provide program information and to encourage participation.Provide detailed feedback and progress and personal development plans to registrants and parents of registrantsConduct Program Administration (attendance tracking, registration update, incident reports as required)Work cooperatively and supervise instructor assistants and youth volunteersLiaise with Facility Manager, Program Supervisor, Facility Operations and Customer Service staff.Notify the Recreation Coordinator/Fitness of any problems and/or recommendations regarding participants, courts or facilities, which may affect the programAttend staff meetings as requestedOther duties as assignedQualifications:Coaching Certification (such as National Coaching Certification Program), workshops, clinics, sport and other related training an asset.Experience in the development and implementation of age/skill appropriate racquet activitiesEmergency First Aid with AED/CPR B, or Standard First Aid with AED/CPR CHIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) is a requirement for instructing any children’s programs ages 4-12 years.Enthusiasm and passion for racquet sportsStrong interpersonal skillsSuccessful candidates, who are new hires and/or who have not performed in this position previously will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, with vulnerable sector screening, dated within the last 30 days as a condition of employment.Must possess valid Standard First Aid with CPR C (Emergency First Aid) certification
