The Master Electrician Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. This position requires you to resolve our most complex issues, given the complexity of the products we build. Monitors quality and safety in the field. Provides technical expertise and ensures work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. Coordinate and work with contractors, operations, vendors, and governmental agencies. They will ensure that all team members are meeting the schedule, budget, and quality requirements outlined in the project scope, and will effectively manage and mitigate issues that arise internally or on the client side. This is a Project Hire role with no guarantee of permanent placement and will report to a Principal Construction Manager. This role is located in Anaheim, CA.
What you will doEvaluates risk early in the project and provides strategic expertise during pre-construction
Identifies and monitors applicable points of coordination at multiple levels
Participates in the hiring process of internal and external resources
Manage staff through performance plans and provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and guidance
Leads project team, including consultants, staff extensions, contractors, etc.
Track detailed Electrical Commodities – be able to keep the management staff well informed on how electrical installations are progressing
Problem solve (quickly) any field issues that do arise, on the spot
Deal with very complex Life Safety Systems in our extremely intellectual facilities

Partner with our Ride and Show Team Members to keep them well-informed on field progress
Train field staff in safety, work skills, and efficiency
Track labor hours and production against stated goals
Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents, and thefts, and provide relevant documents, photos, and assessments to the office
Proficient in duties and skills required for subordinate roles.
Review electrical drawings and identify any scope gaps or missing information to avoid future field delays.
Review construction documents to ensure project accuracy and VE.
Day-to-day decision-making for activities within scope.
Knows when to elevate issues requiring senior leadership direction
Collaborate and partner with clients, project contract administration, project manager, project architect, consultants, and other members of the team
Coordinate site security
Preserve dust-free conditions of all technical rooms within a given project
Expect occasional domestic and international travel
Required Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of 10 years of field experience in applicable site development projects (attractions, commercial, residential, retail, or resort development)
Demonstrate exceptional technical ability in the Electrical field
Strong organization and tracking skills
Collaboration and relationship building
Understanding of permitting processes and experience with local jurisdictions
General technical proficiency with computer and mobile-based software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to handle 40-hour workweeks of outdoor work
Confidently working on 40 feet or more building structures
Lift and/or move 60+ pounds
Expertise to manage large/mega projects
Preferred QualificationsHighly experienced with at least 15 years in the electrical field, for both high and low voltage.
Competent in Office and project related software for given intended project:
BIM 360 Field/Glue/Documents, Bluebeam, BOX, etc.
Project management (document control) platforms for RFI/Submittal management Smartsheet, NexGEN, PDC, Egnyte, etc.
Additional software knowledge P6 scheduling, AutoCAD, Revit, Netpoint
EducationA high school degree or equivalent is required
2 years of undergraduate schooling in the related field of construction is preferred
Technical certifications must be included in the resume

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, California is $113.800.00 to $152,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
