Responsibilities:
Dry External Manufacturing is responsible for making medicine at contract manufacturers globally. The Data Stewardship role oversees those External Manufacturers, selected by Lilly to make product for commercialization. The Dry EM Local Data Analyst is responsible for establishing and maintaining the quality and integrity of the fundamental master data set residing in SAP for External Manufacturing, covering the Americas.
The Dry EM Local Analyst creates changes and maintains local plant master data utilizing established processes and services as a key technical resource at the operational level. The Data Analyst drives master data solutions for the local site and ensures master data maintenance processes lead to consistent and accurate master data for site and supply chain operations.
In addition to supporting Master Data, this role will provide project and customer service support to the External Manufacturers in the Americas. The position requires good knowledge of site processes, understanding the significance of accurate data management and demonstrating an excellent eye for detail. Demonstrated knowledge and familiarization with SAP is required.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Accountable for high quality, timely and accurate local and global data to support site operations for Dry Product External Manufacturers.
Executing key master data maintenance and data design, which includes oversight of Quality Management as it relates to master data in Dry EM.
Troubleshooting SAP execution problems, identify root causes and implement solutions.
Maintain a calendar for SAP data reviews and ensure execution to schedule.
Perform data consistency and accuracy audits, with result reporting and improvement identification outputs.
Facilitate the review of SAP BOM and Recipes with SMEs.
Develop and maintain site Data Steward Procedures, processes, and job aids
Participate in annual standard costing reviews and updates.
Participate and contribute in global initiatives for Master Data Management as required, attending power user forums and apply learnings to the site.
Act as the central point of contact for Change Controls and assess impact on systems/data, recommend changes or amendments as needed, create and complete DSP requests.
Responsible for system integration and data discovery through partnering with multiple business functions – Technical Services, Quality, Logistics, Global Supply Chain, Operations, Financial, etc., for new and existing products and materials.
Support ongoing SAP release testing, implementation of global design changes, and other new system implementations as appropriate.
Provide guidance on data information needs to SMEs in other areas to facilitate data collection for new item creation.
Support new systems implementations/upgrades as needed. Act as a SME in cross-functional project teams in support of new products/systems/business opportunities.
Drive improvement in the data stewardship, data culture, and education across site operations in Dry EM.
Support shipment scheduling, shipment documentation and communication, inventory reporting, etc. of materials from External Manufacturers in the Americas.
Continuous Improvement Activities:
Assist in improvement of business practices in SAP and supplier performance.
Participate in implementation of future Lilly business system releases and related process updates.
Report metrics and develop action plans for improvements.
Conduct product supply risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate supply disruption.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Skills:
Proficiency with computer systems including SAP, Microsoft Office, DSP, Trackwise, etc.
Demonstrated attention to detail and understanding of accurate Data Management.
Demonstrated ability to manage/own multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
Good computing skills, excellent eye for detail and numerical skills.
Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain basics including procurement, manufacturing, planning, customer service, and other supply chain principles.
High learning agility.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
Additional Skills/ Preferences
Previous Data Stewardship experience preferably in a Manufacturing Site.
Background in Master Scheduling and Data Maintenance.
APICS certification.
OSSCE knowledge and experience.
General knowledge of support areas such as Technical Services, Quality and Regulatory.
Additional Information
Some travel required (5-10%) primarily in US.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
