Position Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated graduate student to join our sustainability team for the summer. This internship will center on advancing our zero waste and circularity initiatives, providing hands-on experience in environmental impact reduction within a corporate setting.
Responsibilities could include:
Lead data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting for sustainability metrics (e.g. GHG emissions, energy use, waste, water)
Map and analyze material flows and waste streams across operations
Identify high-impact opportunities for waste reduction, reuse, and recycling
Support design and execution of circularity programs (e.g., product take-back, reuse pilots)
Benchmark industry best practices and emerging trends in sustainability and circular economy strategies
Prepare internal reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Enrolled in a Master’s program in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with zero waste frameworks, life cycle assessments, or renewable energy
Strong research and analytical capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proactive mindset with a passion for environmental stewardship

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
