In your internship at a globally leading medical technology company, you’ll be right in the middle of the action: you will support our navigated spinal and cranial surgery team in innovative projects, deepen your expertise, and gain practical experience that will help you grow both professionally and personally. 

 

Our offer to you  

We are offering an internship in Interactive Guidance for Navigated Spinal Surgery  

You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes for our Navigation System and support our team with your proof-of-concept application.  

You will be an active member of our international and interdisciplinary research and development team.  

You will implement your solution using C++ or Python and Matlab and evaluate it in an ecosystem consisting of state-of-the-art navigation and imaging systems.  

That makes you stand out  

You are studying for a master’s degree in informatics, computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable subject.  

You have experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C++), script languages (e.g. Python, Matlab) or libraries (OpenCV, VTK, Qt, DCMTK). 

You want to tackle challenging problems in medical engineering.  

You are known among friends and fellow students for your initiative and flexibility.  

You have a good command of English.  

You work independently, are highly motivated and committed, and are prepared to take on responsibility quickly. 

 

Duration of your internship: 6 months (full-time) 

When you start with us: March or April 2026 

Where you will work: Freiburg (Breisgau)
