Job Description: 

This job is responsible for providing advanced end-to-end operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business, and cross-business functional support through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include ensuring trading and operational activities are completed accurately and before deadlines, researching and resolving complex issues, and simplifying client interactions. Job expectations include being customer oriented and data driven, while focusing on continuous improvement.

Line of Business Job Description:

As part of the Americas Equity Trade Control team, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining reconciliations and providing operational trade support across an exciting and fast paced set of Equities businesses.  This individual will partner closely with broader Global Operations and Global Markets teams to deliver operational support and ensure key controls across the lifecycle of a trade.  This role provides direct exposure to several lines of business and is uniquely positioned within Global Markets Operations to influence front to back operational processes, improve controls and drive change.

Responsibilities: 

Perform critical operational functions including reconciliations, equity swaps and derivatives lifecycle management, corporate action processing, trade allocations and amendmentsResponsible for the analysis and resolution of a wide variety of complex products that may require special handling or exception reportingManage ad hoc requests from trading, sales and client(s) with tight timelinesCollaborate across Global Markets teams (ops, trading, sales, risk, credit, COOs, legal, compliance, technology) to resolve issues quickly and minimize risk impactProactively identify improvement opportunities to increase efficiencies, reduce risk and support strategic initiativesPartner with global peers in to ensure seamless and consistent global front to back support model and best practicesLeverage understanding of the performance drivers for the GBAM businesses to create value add analysis and lead strategic insightsMaintain trading book, instrument, firm and client reference data

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or substantially equivalent business experience requiredAttention to detail and a control mindsetIntellectually curious, takes initiative, and operates with urgencyAdvanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office suiteAbility to work well in a team environmentAbility to multi-tasking and work in a high pressured environmentDemonstrated ability to drive change and tasks to completionExcellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
