What you will be doing:

 

ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in access solutions, is seeking a highly collaborative and analytically-minded Marketing Technology Manager. Serving as a critical link between our Marketing and IT teams, this role is responsible for aligning marketing initiatives with digital infrastructure to ensure that digital tools and platforms effectively support marketing strategies, customer engagement, and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of marketing insight, technical fluency, and project management expertise. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Communications.

 

Key areas you will contribute to the role include: 

 

Strategic Alignment & Stakeholder Collaboration:

 

Act as the primary liaison between Marketing and IT, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of goals. Translate marketing strategies and campaign requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications. Advocate for marketing priorities in cross-functional technology planning and development meetings. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Sales/Business Development, Product Marketing/Management, Customer Support, etc.) to ensure MarTech solutions support broader business objectives. Work within a matrixed organization to prioritize initiatives that deliver high-value outcomes.

 

Marketing Technology Management:

 

Work with the marketing and IT teams to manage and optimize the implementation of marketing technologies including CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), CMS (Adobe Experience Manager), DAM (Oracle), PIM (Product Information Management), CDP (Customer Data Platforms), and analytics platforms. Lead the integration of marketing platforms with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, data warehouses, and customer databases). Maintain a comprehensive MarTech roadmap aligned with marketing goals and IT capabilities. Ensure data integrity, compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and security across marketing systems. Ensure alignment with IT standards and security protocols. Evaluate new systems or enhancements to existing systems for feasibility, cost, and compatibility with current infrastructure.

 

Project & Vendor Management:

 

Provide end-to-end project management, including resource planning, scheduling, and task assignment. Lead cross-functional projects involving marketing and IT teams, ensuring timely delivery, scope alignment, and budget adherence. Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and platform providers. Oversee RFP processes for new marketing technology acquisitions.

 

Data & Analytics Enablement:

 

Ensure marketing has access to actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and analytics tools. Support the development of attribution models, customer segmentation, and campaign performance tracking. Promote a data-driven culture within the marketing team by enabling self-service analytics and training.

 

Training & Change Management:

 

Develop and deliver training programs for marketing staff on new tools and platforms. Act as a change agent to drive adoption of new technologies and processes within the marketing organization. Document workflows, best practices, and governance models for MarTech usage.

 

What we are looking for:

 

You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution. You have excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform onsite Monday through Friday at our Berlin, CT office. Ability to travel (up to 10%) and meet to the requirements of the business. You can lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of sample and display material for marketing presentations.

 

Education and/or experience:

 

Your background includes a Bachelor’s degree (preference for specialization in related curricula such as: Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or similar), or have work experience commensurate with, minimum high school/GED diploma. Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in marketing operations, digital marketing, or marketing technology roles. Proven experience managing cross-functional projects involving marketing and IT teams. Experience with data integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier), ETL processes, and cloud-based platforms. Proficiency with marketing platforms such as Salesforce (Sales/CRM and Marketing Cloud), Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Analytics, or similar. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and webhooks for system integrations. Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics) and ERP systems. Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations, and security best practices. Salesforce Administrator and/or Marketing Cloud Certification preferred. Google Analytics Certification preferred. PMP or Agile/Scrum Certification preferred.

 

Organizational relationships:

 

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Communications.

 

Special considerations:

 

This position will be performed onsite Monday through Friday at our Berlin, CT office.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting.
