About the Job:
Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a Program Manager to join our SEO & Content Promotions team. We’re seeking a candidate with 7+ years of experience and a passion for PR & Brand marketing and the skills to drive business growth for our portfolio of websites.
As the Program Manager of our PR unit, you will be responsible for leading the organisation’s communication strategy across public relations, media engagement, corporate brand positioning, and marketing communication. The role requires a seasoned communications leader who can strengthen the brand narrative, manage reputation, and drive integrated communication across internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Build and Lead PR team: Lead the PR & Brand communication team to enhance brand visibility and reputation. This involves hiring the right set of PR associates for the targeted geographies, onboarding, training and mentoring team, setting goals & expectations, evaluating performance and more.
Media Relations: Support your team to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets. Pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and proactively seek opportunities for media coverage.
Content Creation: Support engaging and compelling content such as press releases, and social media updates. Ensure the content aligns with the organization’s messaging and brand guidelines.
Strategic Planning: Support development and execution of comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns to promote the organization’s brand, products, or services. This involves setting goals, identifying target audiences, and creating messaging frameworks.
Monitoring and Measurement: Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to assess the effectiveness of PR strategies. Use analytics and metrics to measure the impact of PR activities and generate reports for management.
Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and representation across all communication channels. Collaborate with marketing teams to align PR efforts with overall marketing campaigns. Manage crisis communication with proactive reputation protection and risk mitigation.
Maintain a healthy backlink profile: You’ll help us maintain a healthy backlink profile from top tier sources, and work to ensure we’re being featured on high-quality websites.
Efficient Project Management: Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and projects to your team. Maintain high standards and quality of data collection and management. Communicate actions to stakeholders in a timely manner and share project metrics for weekly / monthly reporting.
Review and quality checks: Review the work of your peers and make necessary corrections in their pitches and promotion materials. Strong email writing skills are a must!
Lead with innovation and creativity: Assist the PR team to innovate new outreach ideas and in launching result-oriented PR & marketing campaigns.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or master's degree preferably in marketing and/or digital marketing. Equivalent certification in digital marketing will also be considered.
Minimum 7+ years communications or public relations experience with 2 years in team leading capacity
Proven experience in PR or related roles, preferably in a managerial capacity.
Should have deep India market expertise: Understanding India's complex media ecosystem, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances with established relationships across business media,
Solid understanding of media relations and experience with media outreach.
Crisis management skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues effectively.
Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in PR campaigns.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective PR strategies.
Demonstrated track record of running effective pilots and turning into scaled programs with full product service ownership mindset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (experience with email outreach campaigns and promotions are a plus).
