Job Description

Candidates for this position can be located in either Irvine, CA or Mettawa, IL. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. 

The Marketing Manager I/II will partner with sales and broader AbbVie stakeholders (Finance, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, MABI, and Agency) to support HCP Marketing efforts. They will derive findings and implications from multiple data platforms to strengthen commercial understanding of brand performance, marketplace dynamics and growth opportunities. This role requires strong collaboration within the US Eye Care organization and broader AbbVie stakeholders along with strong communication skills (oral & written) with the ability to make persuasive presentations to customers, sales teams, partners, and senior leadership.

The Marketing Manager I/II will work with their Marketing and Cross-Functional counterparts across the Eye Care team to support the development of HCP marketing materials/strategy and execution of Launch Readiness & Annual Marketing Plans.  They will coordinate the successful implementation of HCP tactics that support growth for product(s) within the Ocular Surface Disease market. The Marketing Manager I/II will contribute to the planning and sequencing of tasks, activities, and objectives critical to potential product launch. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the Integrated Brand Team (IBT), Marketing, Medical, MABI, HEOR, and Payer Marketing to ensure workstreams remain aligned and that project / task deadlines are met.


Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field, MBA preferred5+ years of specialty HCP marketing experience required, Ophthalmology preferredPrevious sales/marketing experience with strong performance recordExperience in product launchesExperience in the strategic brand planning processComprehensive Knowledge of the health care and pharmaceutical industryStrong understanding of Commercial Insurance and Medicare Part D
