Job Description:

The Marketing Manager is a highly seasoned marketing professional that leads cross-functional projects contributing to development and/or execution of marketing plans/programs/projects/strategies by designing and delivering marketing solutions/insights consistent with TD’s marketing standards and strategies, in support of business results, customer engagement and experience.

This role is an integral part of Marketing's Copy & Content Review (MCR) team and will be a critical component to ensuring that Marketing remains in compliance with associated regulations through the review of asset content and copy, key controls and processes, while serving as a key stakeholder in Marketing's campaign management process. Preferred qualifications include familiarity and understanding of compliance or regulatory expectations as they apply to areas of Marketing (either as a core competency or through working relationships in current/previous roles); an understanding of completing privacy impact assessments; ability to successfully build and maintain relationships across multiple groups, including Marketing Centers of Excellence, Governance and Control, and 2nd line Control Partners. Experience launching new functions, initiatives, or programs within an established team is highly desirable.

Depth & Scope:

Manages multiple marketing projects/programs/initiatives of moderate scope and complexity

Highly seasoned marketing/ compliance & governance professional role requiring substantial knowledge/expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations

Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services

Acts as a technical expert/lead integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty

Leads cross-functional teams or projects

Independently manages end-to-end functional programs

Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions

Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutions

Impacts the achievement of sub-function or business line objectives within the area they are accountable for

Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methods

Communicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders

Works autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertise

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required

7+ years relevant experience

Advanced knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets

Advanced knowledge of customer and brand research techniques and ability to develop analyses and insights that will drive customer strategy formation and business decisions

Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends

Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations – specially marketing Laws, Rules & Regulations.

Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget

Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership

Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions

Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions

Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

Skill in using computer applications including MS Office

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines

Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
