Company Description

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

This role is based in our Nida Kule Esentepe, Şişli, İstanbul, Türkiye office.

Reports to: Marketing Director

The Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and ensuring delivery of the marketing programs to support the expansion and growth of the brand. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of data acquisition and growth, marketing automation and building brand awareness and communities.

You’ll be strategic and tactical, with the ability to approach campaigns holistically, utilising resources internally and externally to help share the stories and messaging. You will meticulously measure the output of your efforts, continuously improving the campaign to ensure commercial objectives are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the team to plan and deliver marketing campaigns in line with business objectivesDeploy successful digital marketing campaigns from ideation to execution, including generating MQL, SEO enhancements, email marketing and social mediaCreate engaging and compelling customer experience through virtual or physical b2b events (trade shows)Manage costs and optimise spend across marketing channels and prove ROIProduce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groupsManage marketing agencies (social, PPC or other) to effectively deliverExperience of building/growing a database and using effective segmentation to reach the right audience with tailored messagingPlan and optimise social media channels for maximum impact through experimenting with various organic and paid content and community managementCoordinate the design and production of all marketing collateral including the website, brochures, print and digital advertisements, web banners and event branding and make sure they are proofed, adhere to brand guidelines, and agreed standardsTrack and analyse consumer behaviour and adjust campaigns accordinglyMeasure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals

LEADERSHIP

Line manages marketers across a range of B2B products, primarily eventsProvide guidance, feedback, and inspiration to line reportsChampion the adoption and optimisation of marketing technology solutions and digital marketingWork with line reports to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line with agreed KPIs, event and divisional strategyWork with line reports to develop skills and competencies and ensure they have a clear development roadmapEnsure line reports are competent and have the skills and training requiredEnsure optimisation of marketing technology solutions, identify training needs, and ensure line reports are technically proficientReflect the high-performance culture of the marketing teamWork with Group Marketing Manager to ensure proper structure, specialisms, and level of resources to meet agreed KPI's

ANALYSIS & INSIGHT

Monitor campaign performance by producing relevant and timely reportsRecommend changes to campaign execution based on data insightsShare relevant insights with sales, event team and management to drive revenues or pursue new opportunitiesAnalyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaignsCapture and analyse relevant and timely data on our customers, prospects and the markets via onsite & post-show surveys, registration forms, industry researchWork with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered toEnsure delivery and accuracy of pre-agreed reports during and post-campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROIUse recommended campaign analytics dashboards to monitor performanceBuild a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the teamsShare case studies with marketers within the group, division, and Informa Markets

PLANNING & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

Work with the event team to plan product marketing campaigns to meet strategic objectives – for exhibitions and virtual/hybrid eventsMonitor operational implementation plans and ensure adherence to deadlines (including Gantt charts, Time & Action Plans, Content Calendars, Budget Trackers)Monitor engagement with target media, associations, industry partners and social media influencers and help the team determine how they fit within the integrated campaignDevelopment of marketing budgets in line with plans and ensure budget trackers are up to dateRecommend external suppliers and ensure adherence to contractual terms and deliveryWork with internal teams and external agencies to deliver digital marketing, social media, and PR in line with marketing plans to hit agreed KPI'sEnsure optimisation of spend across marketing channelsAgree on paid media requirements and guide the negotiation of media buying (either directly or through an agency)Recommend website strategy to maximise relevant traffic and conversion

MARKETING EXECUTION

Identify the target universe and key segments within the target universeDevelop personas, value propositions and messaging for each of the key segments for each productEnsure that timely, relevant communications are sent through a full mix of channels and are optimised for each channelMonitor and recommend adjustments to the digital marketing activity based on performance metricsManage the Content Calendar to ensure delivery through the most relevant channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, direct mail etc.)Manage the PR plan (internal or external) and liaise with the event manager/event directorEstablish relationships with and manage strategic partners to ensure maximum exposure at the lowest costEnsure the maintenance of active social media channels in line with market expectations, monitor engagement and maximise conversionOversee the design and production of all marketing collateral to be determined within the marketing planEnsure all marketing collateral, email marketing, website content and digital marketing is thoroughly proofed, adheres to brand guidelines, and agreed Informa standards

Skills required

Proven experience in marketing management delivering products to market ––physical or virtual events or digital solutions i.e. news, data or intelligence productsExtensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and brandingExperience in marketing analytics and reporting platformsUnderstanding of marketing automation and analytics toolsExcellent communication and influencing skillsStrong copywriting skills and attention to detail

Desired

BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or certified marketing qualificationsExperience in the events industry or similar fast-paced environmentExperience of using marketing automation technology (preferably Eloqua)Experience of working with CMS platforms (but coding knowledge not required)Experience of social media listening and sentiment analysisExperience using Eloqua and Adobe Experience Manager
