Our position as Global Marketing Manager is part of the Global Marketing & Sales Team in ABB Robotics’ Industries Business Line and operates cross Industry segments and will partner closely with Sales & Portfolio teams, Industries Communications team, central Commercial Operations team, product Communications team, global product management, global as well as local marketing & sales teams.
You will be responsible for a Global Marketing strategy and working closely with the product communications team and the demand generation team to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns around our offering and help promote both the current product portfolio and launch new innovations.
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and implement the marketing strategy in the assigned area (business area, division, and markets). Each day, you will lead, develop, and coach the Marketing team. You will also showcase your expertise by designing and managing the marketing action plan to achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Develop and execute the global marketing strategy for the Industries Business Line, aligning with business goals and defining marketing targets in collaboration with sales; track and ensure achievement.
Plan and lead global campaigns, including theme definition with product and portfolio managers, creation of marketing and sales enablement materials (e.g., presentations, social media, testimonials), and support for local/regional rollout.
Ensure effective lead generation and follow-up processes in collaboration with Sales and the central M&S team; support local teams in their marketing plans and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Own marketing contributions to events (hybrid, virtual, or physical), including strategy, messaging, demos, and customer engagement; manage BL marketing presence on ABB’s website and Partner Portal.
Lead and develop local marketing teams, ensuring sales readiness for product launches, promoting collaboration, and driving knowledge sharing across teams and regions.
Qualifications for the role:
Successful degree in business, marketing or any similar discipline
7+ years professional experience in Marketing, Business development or Sales
Excellent project management, organization, and planning skills with attention to accuracy and detail
Proven outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate a strong customer orientation and a strong collaborative spirit
High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently in a fast-changing industry
Open to change and adapting to new environments
