Do you want to challenge experiencing one of the biggest drivers of growth in Amazon Japan? We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Seller Growth Marketing Manager to design marketing solutions for crucial products, including Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), in the Japanese market. This role involves creating strategies to enhance mass seller communications, audience targeting, and open/conversion rates while making impactful outputs and ensuring consistency in the structure and tone of our communications in line with global guidelines. The primary responsibilities include increasing launches, feature adoption, and opportunity awareness for sellers on Amazon throughout the customer journey. You will be expected to proactively align with global teams to ensure sellers understand the value proposition, key features, and processes for sellers in the Japanese market, developing a clear communication strategy that targets specific behaviors through a one-to-many communication approach.
This role will be measured through adoption targets, tracking and analyzing metrics such as launches, engagement, and feature adoption, while optimizing performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. You will be required to think analytically and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple and often conflicting priorities. You will communicate with peers in similar roles as well as cross-functionally, both domestically and internationally. Success in this role requires thriving in an ambiguous environment where you must develop, implement, and iterate on business strategies to deliver growth and positive experiences for sellers. Being hands-on, detail-oriented, and possessing relentlessly high standards are essential qualities for this position.
Key job responsibilities
• Create marketing plans to effectively communicate with and bring on new sellers to the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program and other programs
• Gather and adapt best practices globally to bring multiple sellers smoothly transition from registering to launching and scaling their businesses
• Oversee all aspects of marketing campaigns: strategy development, documentation, planning, messaging, creative elements, content and design, launch, optimization, and reporting. Set goals and reporting to track metrics on seller conversion and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop marketing and communication strategies by partnering with sales, marketing, product, and other teams to create the optimal onboarding experience for new sellers.
• Prioritize and balance needs across seller experience, performance, and operational workload.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Japanese(Fluent) and English (Business)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
