About the Role
Clinical Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for developing strategic marketing programs for the CS segment. This role manages clinical solutions marketing needs, including strategy development, planning, cross-functional alignment, execution, and outcome reporting to meet the segment's business and revenue goals. As the local segment marketing representative, they facilitate communication and collaboration between marketing, product, and sales teams within their regions and with global counterparts. This person also manages local market segmentation, targeting, and positioning to transform marketing strategies into actionable programs and initiatives that enhance market awareness, demand, and retention for our solutions.
Responsibilities
Segment Marketing Strategy – Leads the development of marketing strategies for the Clinical Solutions segment, leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, competitor analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include customer segmentation, profiling, value proposition formulation, and a thorough understanding of key customer groups such as medical institutions, hospitals, clinicians, nursing professionals, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Solutions Marketing – Designs and executes solution-oriented marketing initiatives in partnership with the e-sales team to address customer requirements and highlight differentiated value propositions.
Drive Market Size Growth – Strategically positions Elsevier clinical solutions to address local healthcare market demands and challenges. Leads efforts targeting market expansion and fosters strong relationships with C-suite leaders.
Market Expansion – Contributes to the creation and execution of go-to-market strategies for new and enhanced offerings, overseeing pilot projects to facilitate successful market entry.
Weave Customer Value Story – Develops localized value propositions and customer case studies that articulate region-specific challenges, supporting effective product positioning for Elsevier.
Market Assessment – Partners with the strategy team to define both the addressable and potential market size for solutions, developing actionable plans based on identified market opportunities.
Market Research – Directs local market research efforts to evaluate customer and competitive landscapes, product trajectories, and overall market conditions; utilizes insights to inform strategic marketing decisions.
Customer Engagement – Collaborates with the customer engagement team to establish robust onboarding processes for CS solutions, drive user adoption and retention, gather direct customer feedback, and enhance satisfaction, renewal, and upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
C-Suite Engagement – Broadens engagement and generates qualified leads among key decision-makers within leading academic institutions and government organizations.
Requirements
Postgraduate, preferably with a Master's in Business Administration from
Experience in managing high-value marketing campaigns with sales and product teams
At least 10 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of health and clinical ecosystems.
Proven ability to deliver independently and collaborate globally with key stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven insights
Experience creating and executing value-based marketing programs across products, customers, channels, brands, competition tracking, and on-ground initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills for explaining complex or sensitive topics
