The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide. Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview As a Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the Marketing Department, as well as, assisting with the execution of the marketing plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Tactical Marketing Execution Support Branding & Positioning: Assists the Marketing Department in in the execution of all messaging, positioning, public relations and marketing strategies. Helps deliver content that meets brand standards. Content & Assets: Assist the Marketing Department in the execution and updates for all internal/external communications including but not limited to: press releases Brand.com website, vanity website (where applicable), 3rd party websites, social media, imagery, and copy. Works with the Marketing Manager to coordinate all on property marketing photo shoots. Social Media: As a social media agency is leveraged by the hotel, this role with assist the Marketing Department in ensuring all marketing assets are provided in a timely manner to the agency. Should no social media agency be leveraged in the future, this role will be responsible for posting on and upkeep within social media channels, ensuring implementation of the established social media plan and calendar. Reputation Management: Where required, this position may assist in posting/responding to reviews on social and review websites, including but not limited to TripAdvisor, Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Creative Collateral/Content Support: Develops/updates small in-house marketing design projects (example: sales newsletters, sales fliers, on-property/in-room collateral, in-room TV content, etc) Public Relations Support: Assists with the coordination of media visits, including itinerary confirmations, property tours, distribution of media kits, etc. Administrative Support Works with marketing team to prioritize day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of wider projects and tasks. Assists with processing invoices for marketing initiatives. Assists with ancillary outlets (Example: restaurant, spa, etc) requests, including but not limited to, menu edits, in-restaurant collateral, and updates Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Prior travel/hospitality experience preferred.
