About the position:

We are currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator for our growing Birmingham/Tuscaloosa division Under the direction of our VP of Sales Marketing, in collaboration with our City Manager, the Marketing Coordinator handles the day-to-day Marketing operations within the department. The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating model home setup; maintaining marketing collateral including files and photos; as well as supporting all marketing and sales initiatives.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable working on a team and independently. They should be able to think creatively and use technology to bring the vision to life.

Essential Functions:

Support marketing and sales initiatives such as social media campaigns; sales center and model design/set up; advertising; signage; and collateral design as well as gather estimates and sources to carry out initiatives

Coordinate with third party vendors such as signage companies, model decorators, digital advertising consultants, creative firms, model maintenance services; update and maintain vendor database

Lead model home and sales center installation and maintenance

Organize community marketing files including all marketing photos, maintain marketing collateral inventory, and ensure brand standards are maintained

Fact check and proof-read all marketing materials

Work with other departments to create and maintain marketing materials and community identity

Coordinate sales and marketing events; attend necessary events

Assist in daily administrative responsibilities

Assist in training and marketing best practices as well as new tools or platforms

Other duties as assigned

Associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school; courses or degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communication is recommended

2 years of related experience and/or training

Demonstrated knowledge in Google Analytics, social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign) Photoshop, photography, and video editing software

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Marketing, Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, or related field of study is highly desired

4 years of related marketing experience

Advanced knowledge in analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, Photoshop, and video editing software

Demonstrated knowledge of MLS and realtor sites such as Zillow and Realtor.com

Ability to travel overnight and/or work overtime as needed

Working environment:

Marketing Coordinators work in a normal office setting and sometimes from model homes when conducting field visits. Regular, moderate noise levels are to be expected. Candidates should be comfortable frequently communicating with customers and possess the ability to stand or walk for 4 hours, up to 8 hours as well as sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist, traverse up or down stairs; move across unlevel terrain; use hands to handle or feel objects and reach; possess close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; as well as ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly.
