Marketing Communications Specialist
Role Purpose

Works with a communications team to support the deployment of communications strategies and corresponding tactics that facilitate understanding by the company’s diverse stakeholders of Corning’s business priorities and key messages. Serves as a liaison to internal and external clients and cross functional groups and contributes in a variety of content development, project management, and process ownership areas.

Key Responsibilities Provides support for the design and execution of strategic communications programs that enhance Corning’s reputation and support the company’s annual operating priorities Provides support for initiatives with business divisions, staff groups, and corporate programs to ensure effective and integrated communications Develops skillsets in various areas, including but not limited to media relations, brand management, social media, and content management Keeps abreast of key business developments, innovation initiatives, and general trends to support communications strategies Works as assigned with business and functional stakeholders to assess the needs of customers Develops understanding of the corporation as well as a broad range of financial, technical, cultural, and industry trend information for reference and use in communications materials Ensures accurate and consistent communication by following established processes and implementing best practices Establishes meaningful metrics to track and measure engagement, sentiment, etc., and then analyzes that data to make meaningful recommendations and generate data reports for management Develops collateral material pertaining to corporate information and product offerings, including product information sheets, Q&A documents, brochures, presentations, videos, web content, and other publications Archives communication collateral to enable consistency of communications and provide a library of material to draw upon Coordinates participation in internal and external exhibitions and events by working with various stakeholders to prepare materials and track event costs Experiences/Education - Required Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience Familiarity with Microsoft Office Experience or willingness to learn new tools, e.g., Google Analytics, web content management systems, and social media content management systems Experience or willingness to learn Adobe design programs Experience with online and social media platforms or willingness to learn Experience working with the English language Digital fluency Desire to work with agencies and vendors Experiences/Education - Desired Graduate-level education in a related field Global awareness Foreign language skills
