Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Events Assistant will be responsible for:
Deliver an diverse events schedule for the Manchester business Deliver high-quality marketing campaigns for key events (both in-person and online) Utilise all elements of the marketing mix to support both events delivery and ongoing marketing SEO campaigns Providing marketing support for recruitment teams in the Manchester business.
Key Requirements
The Marketing & Events Assistant will have the determination and attention to detail required to deliver high quality events and will be able to manage the full event lifecycle from the event concept, through to post event reporting and tracking of attendees. The successful candidate may already be a junior marketing or events professional looking to further their career or alternatively a keen graduate from an Events or Marketing degree.
The successful candidate will ideally have a basic understanding of the marketing mix but most importantly, possess strong organisation, copywriting and tech skills. Initiative, problem-solving skills, professionalism, a strong work ethic and the desire to learn new skills are more valuable than the background of the applicant.
The role will be based in Manchester and hybrid – on average 2 days per week in the office (excluding attendance of events on-site).
Local requirements
Be responsible for a varied and diverse Manchester events schedule that includes hospitality, internal events, sponsorship campaigns through to thought leadership seminars and breakfasts/lunches. Support big ticket events with extensive marketing campaigns, for example our UK Finance Awards run in the North West, London and Midlands – driving applications and maximising exposure With support from the Senior Marketing Manager, run the end-to-end event plan for the Finance Awards North West, including liaising with partners, organisation of the awards evening, venue sourcing, judging and shortlisting process Utilise design tools for collateral production, including the Adobe Design suite to produce highquality campaign assets e.g. event invites, brochure adverts, social and email assets Working with a market-leading automation platform, delivering targeted email marketing campaigns for events and key campaigns, measuring results and implementing learnings into new campaigns Deliver a social media schedule to generate engagement/attendees for Manchester events schedule and support big ticket events such as the Finance Awards, Business of the Year Awards. Using an industry leading CMS system, publishing new content and optimising content to benefit our ongoing SEO strategy Stakeholder management. Co-ordinate closely with the front office recruitment teams to build relevant invitee lists and ensure the calibre of attendees is strong Monitor event attendees, ensuring the invites are maximised and there is a good spread of clients/target clients in attendance All pre-event administration for the Manchester business - including sourcing speakers, liaising with venues and event suppliers and managing the invite process Build and main relationships with our event suppliers to ensure preferential rates On the day event management - manage the registration process for delegates at conferences, management of speakers and sponsors etc. Carrying out before and after event feedback and reporting, allowing the business to monitor the success of the events schedule. Ensuring the correct event follow up process is carried out after all events. This involves the creation of video content where relevant and marketing emails to all attendees and non-attendees. Critical analysis of the events schedule, challenging how events have/or are run and seeing where improvements and new ideas can be suggested
