Summary
The Marketing and Business Development department is a highly collaborative team of professionals who work closely with across practice groups, sectors, and geographies to build the reputation of DLA Piper and our lawyers. The Regional Marketing Manager is a critical role on our US-Latin America marketing team and helps manage the marketing and business development activities for Mexico, Puerto Rico, and US-LatAm as needed (including Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Chile). With a mission to elevate the brand and services of the firm across the Americas, including handling communications, events, business development, administrative, and other matters to achieve business objectives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Initiatives, the position requires an independent worker, self-starter, and team oriented, with accomplished critical thinking skills and a broad understanding of business and legal markets. This professional will collaborate closely with colleagues in the U.S. and globally. This individual should understand client needs and services and execute strategic marketing plans that are reflective of issues that are driving the need for legal services. This individual should also be able to analyze research, identify and execute on cross-selling opportunities, and support integrated, multijurisdictional pursuits.

This position can sit in our Miami or New York office and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Leverages marketing collateral and business development content to ensure internal awareness of the firm’s practice capabilities across various regions.
Executes strategic marketing plans that deliver results that support brand strategy and focus on integration across the Americas.
Manages client-centric and data-driven, integrated marketing and business development campaigns that deliver results against strategic priorities.
Understands key business issues our clients are facing, market dynamics, and competitive strategies to improve the development of messaging and go-to-market strategies.
Serve as a project manager, owning and taking responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring marketing initiatives. Oversee timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of projects aligned with strategic objectives.
Develops marketing collateral and business development content, leveraging a strong knowledge of practice capabilities and the region’s value proposition particularly in connection to pitches and client meetings.
Manages submissions for awards and directories that reflects the region’s practice-specific capabilities and successes on behalf of clients.
Collaborates with and supports US and Latin America leadership, alongside US and LatAm marketers.
Assists with planning online and in-person internal and external events.
Collaborates with office manager, office leadership and Managing Partners.
Measure and track results of marketing programs and report on ROI.

Excellent communication and data analysis skills, as well as strong writing and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships globally. Experience and ability to plan strategically, execute tactically and have a client service focus. Proficiency with MS Office products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
Minimum Years of Experience
6 years’ experience in marketing and/or business development in a professional services environment.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $133,667 - $193,920 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
