What is the opportunity?

As Manager of Marketing Analytics, you will be joining the Platform Operations Data & Analytics Centre of Excellence within RBCx to shape and scale our data engineering marketing strategy, supporting portfolio companies in a startup culture, and also working closely with our teams in Royal Bank of Canada, one of Canada’s largest banks. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data solutions in the marketing space. You will work across our portfolio of mobile & web applications and work with third party platforms (e.g. Meta & Google) to implement analytics tracking, create and manage data flows & pipelines and integrate data sources across the MarTech ecosystem to feed downstream marketing analytics use cases. This role requires strong data engineering skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and a demonstrated capability to multi-task effectively as a member of a dynamic, fast paced team. You will have the opportunity to create and build upon a foundation that will shape the future growth and scale of our RBCx Platform modern data stack.

What will you do?

Lead integration of marketing data from analytics platforms (e.g. GA4 & AppsFlyer), CRM, media advertising & social platforms into data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, S3) and BI platforms (e.g. Tableau), 

Design the data models and data pipelines for dashboarding and reporting

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, and technical guides

Collaborate with development teams to implement and maintain scalable marketing analytics tracking using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), Segment, AppsFlyer in a privacy compliant manner

Perform QA and debugging of analytics tags and data flows

Support GA4 analysis and ad-hoc reporting requests (e.g., site performance, A/B tests, content engagement).

Continuously drive improvements in tracking capabilities, data integrity, data pipeline and stakeholder enablement.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

3+ years of hands-on experience in digital analytics implementations (e.g. Google Tag Manager, Segment) and data engineering with a focus on integrating with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS)

Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud platforms

Experience implementing web and advertising analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, Appsflyer, Meta Ads, Google Ads and others

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

Nice to Have 

University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g., analytics, engineering, computer science)

Experience with RBC Lumina Snowflake offering

Automation/DevOps: Git Actions, Airflow, AWS Glue

Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools (Tableau)
