Market Supply Chain Planning Manager

Job Purpose:
 To ensure a detailed product demand forecast at SKU level for assigned portfolio on a 36-month rolling horizon, and through detailed analysis and review ensuring the accuracy of the forecast is improved on a continual basis
 Align and work with Commercial and Finance stakeholders to ensure the Demand and Financial operating plans are aligned on an ongoing basis
 In collaboration with Above Market Planning team, ensure best in class supply performance to the Egypt business enabling growth and supply continuity
 Drive and embed Demand Planning best practice and process improvement in areas such as statistical forecasting leveraging SAP IBP, use of market intelligence, excellence in Sales and Operations Planning, proactive inventory management and obsolescence mitigation
 

Key Accountabilities
Demand Planning:
• To execute a collaborative process with the local teams in all activities surrounding generation of both short-term and long-term demand forecast.
• Review, consolidate and submit a monthly forecast (36-month forward looking) in SAP IBP for private market and institutional demand segments in-line with defined planning timelines.
• Optimize forecast accuracy both at the detail and aggregate level ensuring use of all available market intelligence (e.g. market trends, promotional activity, brand forecast review process), and fully leverage the FERCA process for root cause evaluation and exception management.
• Proactively manage in-market sales in collaboration with commercial colleagues and conduct IMS/TMS conversions for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
• Work in close collaboration with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure robust and ongoing reconciliation and alignment between the Operational forecast and Financial Planning process, in particular to support Op Plan and Latest Estimate updates.
• Orchestrate and facilitate key forums to support demand plan generation including BFR meetings, Market S&OP, product change management and new product launch meetings, regulatory submission reviews as needed.
• Proactively work with the Above Market Planners (AMP) to maintain correct master data, ensuring all supply chain agreements correctly reflect market requirements and ensuring all relevant SKUs are appropriately maintained in the demand planning system.
• Ensure timely adherence to the demand planning standard work calendar and embed IMEx (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence) standard and improvement processes.
Supply Assurance
• Work in close collaboration with AMP team ensuring the appropriate replenishment plans and inventory management for the market (incl. ELC and in transit inventories). Ensuring optimal inventory according to agreed distributor inventory requirements and / or planning parameters for Pfizer in – market inventory.
• Review and endorse supply chain agreements and all parameters therein in close collaboration with Above Market Planning (AMP) team.
• Work closely with AMP team in managing aging inventory and work with Commercial, Finance and Regulatory colleagues to develop mitigation plans to minimize obsolescence risk.
• Identify with AMP team root causes for supply/ obsolescence issues to ensure that corrective actions are put in place and embedded across the organization.
• Validate with AMP team the monthly supply plan that supports the business forecast considering lead time, safety stocks and shelf life requirements.
• Proactively manage the impact of supply issues, coordinating with and escalating to AMP, to ensure timely resolution and proper communication with all stakeholders.
• Proactively communicate to AMP team on market intelligence and dynamics affecting supply planning and work closely with AMP colleagues to generate appropriate Supply Alerts as and when needed to inform stakeholders of potential supply interruption.
Logistics & Order Management
• Monitor logistics operations for products supplied to assigned markets. (trigger allocation of goods, request pro-forma invoice issuance, validation of pro-forma invoices, monitoring payments, etc.
• Contribute to the weekly financial period estimate reporting process.
Other key SC process accountabilities: Demand Planning process
• Accountable to ensure the alignment and consistency of demand planning practice for assigned markets in accordance with the standard Demand Planning Calendar.
• Drive adherence to all aspects of Market Excellence demand planning capabilities, maintaining target maturity levels.
• Actively engage and contribute in regional demand planning COPs (community of practice) and share bestpractices across markets as appropriate.
PCM – Product Change Management
• Responsible for the planning and coordination of product source changes, new product launches, loss of exclusivity, artwork changes and registration timelines with AMP team, regulatory, sales and marketing departments.
• Ensure that supply plans proposed by AMP are aligned with registrations and regulatory changes.
• Work in close collaboration with AMP planners to ensure all proposed PNS changes, localization projects and future business development projects are aligned with business and operational planning processes.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Drive monthly market S&OP process with cross functional participation from Business Units, Regulatory, Finance, Sales, Marketing with the objective of improving/optimizing supply chain operations and meeting financial targets.
• Ensure appropriate demand and supply balancing, providing updates on identified gaps, defining and presenting mitigation plans to all key stakeholders for support and endorsement as required.
• Sales Operations accountability for distributor inventory management (and/ or Pfizer owned inventory as appropriate) and replenishment in accordance with agreed contractual conditions, in close collaboration with AMP team, commercial and customer service team.
• Continuous development and improvement of the Pre-S&OP and Executive S&OP templates to accommodate new business needs and market requirements.
Operational Excellence
• Drive ongoing process improvement & efficiency of the work flow of all supply chain operations through strategic thinking and collaboration.
• Lead key supply planning and inventory management related projects with OPEX approach and optimal use of DMAIC methodology.
People
Close coordination/communication between different internal/external stakeholders.

Job Specific technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:
• Strong supply chain management skills including: forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, international trade (import, export, customs)
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a complex matrix organization with issue resolution skills.
• Communication & Influence – strong interpersonal skills required to interact with various levels of management to deliver required outcomes.
• Business Acumen – is knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare environment and key factors to business success.
• Strategic thinker.

Experience and Knowledge
- 5+ years’ experience in similar roles in supply chain in a multinational organization and/ or pharmaceutical industry is required
- Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics Management
MBA degree is an advantage
- Logistics/ Supply Chain qualification preferred
- Incumbent must be fluent both written and verbally in English and regional/local language is preferable
