**Job Title:** Market Access Specialist – Mozambique & Angola
**Location:** Based in Mozambique (with extensive travel across Mozambique and Angola)
**Reports to:** Market Access Manager – South & East Africa
**Language Requirement:** Fluent in Portuguese and English
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a seasoned **Public Health professional** with deep expertise in **market access, policy development, and funding mobilization** to join the Market Access Team. This role is pivotal in enabling access to our diagnostic portfolio by navigating policy landscapes, engaging stakeholders, sourcing mobilizing alternative funding streams and applying health economic evidence to inform adoption and scape up decisions. The successful candidate will have a strong network within Ministries of Health and related institutions in **Portuguese-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa** , particularly **Mozambique and Angola** .
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute market access strategies for current and future diagnostic products.
+ Identify and address policy barriers affecting product adoption and commercialization.
+ Engage with government bodies, NGOs, policy makers, and program implementers to influence health policy.
+ Lead advocacy efforts and generate evidence to support favourable regulatory environments.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Marketing, Medical, and Sales teams.
+ Identify and support funding opportunities for new and existing projects.
+ Identify, assess and pursue alternative funding opportunities (donors, multilateral agencies, PP)
+ Monitor and report on funding landscape and donor priorities Iin both countries
+ Maintain strong relationships with Ministries of Health and other key stakeholders.
+ Travel extensively across Mozambique and Angola to support program implementation.
+ Act as the focal point for engagement with donors, implementing partners and advocacy groups
**Key Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public health, International Development, Health Economics, Policy, or related field.
+ Minimum of **5–10 years’ experience** in public health, market access, health policy, donor engagement, public health program management and funding/resource mobilization.
+ strong track record of mobilizing alternative funding sources
+ Experience generating or applying health economic evidence to inform policy and program decisions
+ Deep understanding of the **public health landscape in Portuguese-speaking Sub-Saharan Africa** .
+ Strong network and experience working with **Ministries of Health** and other government institutions.
+ Willingness and ability to travel extensively and on short notice.
+ Fluent in **Portuguese and English** .

+ Based in Mozambique.
+ Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in market access and policy advocacy.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
+ Results-driven and adaptable to dynamic environments.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multicultural team
