Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Maritime WMD Counterproliferation Expert at GDIT. You’ll support training of foreign partners for the Department of Defense. Here, your work will have meaning and impact as you deliver your best every day.

Our work depends on the Maritime WMD Counterproliferation Experts joining our team to provide expert, relevant training for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's foreign partners.
HOW A WMD COUNTER PROLIFERATION EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Responsible for gathering, processing, analyzing, and synthesizing national security knowledge worldwide
Reviews and authors training curriculum incorporating best practices and current tactics, techniques, and procedures
Develops exercises (full-scale, functional, and discussion based) in support of training
Conducts training for partner nation law enforcement, maritime border, and response forces
Provides analysis and advice to government client and instructors on improving training and law enforcement capability of foreign partners
Develops complex briefings, reports, and short-notice position papers, collaborates with broader security project teams in order to provide national security expertise
Applies advanced scientific and technical knowledge to analyze foreign weapons development, weapons proliferation, cyber warfare, and emerging technologies.
Produces intelligence, policy and operational products used to advise on and research the movements
Applicants must be able to travel internationally
Desired QualificationsBS (or equivalent experience) in Emergency Management, Public Health, Criminal Justice, Political Science, National Security Policy Studies, International Affairs, Public Policy Administration or related field
15+ years of related experience
Extensive background in national security and counterproliferation of various weapons in the maritime environment, capability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize maritime risks is essential
Knowledge and experience in CBRN material as well as an understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport, and use
Knowledge of current technologies, best practices for design and implementation of effective investigations and operations related to WMD
Experience as a mentor, advisor, or liaison outside of the United States is highly preferred
Experience as an instructor is preferred
Eligibility for a Top Secret clearance
