Job Description Faststream is partnering with a leading global ship management organisation to recruit a Marine Superintendent (Dry Bulk) for their Singapore office.
You will:
Oversee the safe, compliant, and efficient operations of a fleet of dry bulk carriers. Conduct ship visits, audits, and inspections, ensuring adherence to ISM, ISPS, MLC, STCW, and Flag/Port State requirements. Provide guidance and operational support to Masters and officers, promoting a robust safety culture across the fleet. Investigate incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures. Liaise with owners, charterers, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction. We are seeking a strong maritime professional with:
Sailing background as Master Mariner (preferred) or Chief Officer on dry bulk carriers with relevant shore experience. Previous shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent (advantageous). In-depth knowledge of international regulations, safety management systems, and bulk carrier operations. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build trust with both seafarers and shore staff. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory to communicate effectively with multinational crews and stakeholders.
