Bureau Veritas Australia – Marine and Offshore division is seeking a Marine Coordinator to contribute to the growth of our Marine Classification business.
This dynamic role bridges two critical functions within Bureau Veritas Australia – Marine and Offshore division, Marine Administration and HSSE Coordination, requiring a versatile professional who can seamlessly manage administrative processes and drive safety performance. As a Marine Administrator, you will support the Marine Classification management and staff to coordinate logistics and key administrative processes. In the HSSE Coordinator role, you will implement safety management systems and work with leadership to reduce workplace accidents and environmental impact across Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific operations.
Responsibilities:
Marine Administration
Coordinate travel bookings and security logistics for the Marine Classification team. Coordinate scheduling logistics to support the Marine Classification management. Support job tracking, monitor work in progress and invoicing of Marine Classification. Document management and record keeping. Assist in the preparation of high-quality client documentation including processing Statements, Certificates and Reports. General administrative work for Marine Classification team and business management. Consistently manage own workload for completion of allocated tasks with a high level of organisation and accuracy to ensure deadlines are met. Communicate to clients and management of any anticipated delays.
HSSE Coordination
Proactively manage HSSE and PPE artifacts and registers in accordance with WHS act and BV internal procedures at all times. Constantly seek to improve safety of our operations by optimising communication, processes and pointing management to identified opportunities for improvement. Track and report required HSSE KPIs to staff and management, identifying and disseminate best practices. Communicate and coordinate local safety alerts and campaigns to country employees and manager. Ensure local HSSE induction and training material are appropriate, include Group e-learning modules, and coordinate with HR for the annual training plan. Assist in conducting incidents & accidents investigation. Track corrective & preventive action implementation. Assist in coordination of HSE Management Review.
The Marine Administrator/ HSSE Coordinator from time to time will be required to undertake logistics and other administrative tasks directly for the Marine Chief Executive.
