Position Summary:

Our client, a leading FPSO operator, is seeking a Marine Operations Engineer to join their offshore team on a producing FPSO located off the coast of Africa. This role is responsible for overseeing and operating all marine systems onboard, with a strong operational interface to the production team.

The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient management of ballast, bilge, cargo handling, slops, inert gas systems, and vessel stability. You will support crude oil offloading operations, manage tank ullage and slop control, and ensure compliance with marine safety and operational standards. A working knowledge of FPSO process systems and how production operations impact marine systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain marine systems: ballast, bilge, cargo handling, stability, and offloading

Manage tank operations, slop handling, and stability planning in coordination with production

Support crude oil offloading procedures and marine readiness

Liaise closely with the production team during shutdowns, startups, and process changes

Participate in daily operations meetings, PTW, and isolation procedures

Contribute to troubleshooting and maintenance of marine systems

Candidate Requirements:

Marine Engineer, Deck Officer, or Ballast Control background

Minimum 5 years offshore experience (FPSO or FSO strongly preferred)

Knowledge of topside production operations and FPSO process interfaces

STCW Certificate of Competency (3rd Engineer or higher preferred)

Valid BOSIET/FOET and offshore medical
