I will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the hotel/resort. **Duties and Responsibilities** In this role, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Experience department, especially for all functions and activities related to marine and local biology to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget. + Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering. + Focus on the rejuvenation of the experiences department with regards to marine and local biology. + Conduct environmental benchmarking, reporting, advising, and implementing of best practices. + Join local associations or organizations promoting marine life. + Conduct snorkeling and scuba driving trips and give presentation about sea and local ecosystem related issues. + Be aware and handle all biological and environmental issues of concern and assist in environmental monitoring, monthly data collection and processing and environmental assessments. + Work closely with Experiences Manager in developing strategies and tactics which support revenue generation and profile-raising initiatives are undertaken as documented in the marketing plan. + Ensure that all activities are carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters of local law. + Revise and control department’s operational budget is strictly adhered to, and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability. + Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation. + Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role. + Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by my Manager. + Perform any additional duties given to me by my manager. **Qualifications** To execute the position of Marine Biologist, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar or greater role in luxury hotels with proven results. + Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and more than two years’ experience in a similar role. + Technical skills include Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook I comply with local requirements for First Aid certification and specific certifications required for snorkeling or any other activity offered. + Fluent in English.
