Margin and Collateral Specialist

As an Operations Analyst within Collateral Operations, you will oversee portfolio reconciliation and collateral dispute management, regulatory adherence, and cross‑LOB metrics and projects. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement across Back, Middle, and Global teams, partnering with Operations and Technology to streamline processes and controls. You will also provide business support across multiple stakeholders, driving transparency, automation, and timely issue resolution.

 

Job Responsibilities

Execute portfolio reconciliations and manage collateral disputes end‑to‑end.Resolve MTM breaks, remediate data quality issues, and drive strategic projects.Investigate upstream root causes and implement sustainable fixes to minimize breaks.Coordinate with Middle Office, Credit Risk, and VCG to triage and resolve breaks.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across CFTC, EMIR, NCMR and related obligations.Perform UAT for new functionality, controls, and process changes.Lead and support strategic automation initiatives and cross‑LOB metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

Graduate or post‑graduate with 2+ years of operations experience in investment banking/capital markets, including exposure to OTC derivatives products, processes, and systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage business and technology stakeholders at all levels and drive results through a hands‑on approach.Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access) and strong organizational skills to prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines.Ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments, prioritize one’s own and team’s work to achieve goals, maintain high attention to detail, and work global hours as needed.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including CFTC, EMIR, and NCMR.Experience with OTC confirmations, collateral management, and reconciliation platforms.Experience conducting UAT and partnering with Technology on change management.Experience building cross‑LOB metrics, dashboards, and automation to support continuous improvement.
