As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in the manufacture and in-process testing of in-vitro diagnostic devices. Working within a collaborative team, you will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure products are built and tested to the highest quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain manufacturing and testing equipment, ensuring calibration, documentation, and operational readiness.
Use ERP systems to record work progress, manage inventory, and support effective stock control.
Complete production records and worksheets accurately and in real time in line with the Quality Management System (QMS).
Support right-first-time manufacturing and on-time delivery through prompt reporting of issues, required checks, and up-to-date training compliance.
Plan and prioritise workloads with guidance from your line manager to meet production and test schedules while maintaining a safe and organised environment.
Education & Experience
Essential: Grade C/5 or above in GCSE Maths, English and Science (or equivalent)
Desirable: Degree or A Levels in a relevant scientific subject
Experience: Minimum 1 year in manufacturing, operations, production, lab or related setting preferred
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Computer literate (Word, Excel)
Strong organisation, time management, and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Use of walk-in freezers and cold rooms
Commitment to personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices
