Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the extraction, concentration, and/or adjusting of materials per Batch Production Records (BPRs) while incorporating cGMPs and following all accommodating SOPs within the manufacturing area. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Level 1 – Manufacturing Technician

Train to become a signed off operator capable of independent work. Complete and pass all SOP’s/tests assigned for the position.Can perform all key aspects of the position proficiently:Performing cleaning and sanitation properlyDisassembling and re-connecting equipmentPerforms start-up checks and adjustments as neededAble to run and operate production proficientlyCan resolve normal and routine machine interruptionsFollows Batch Production Records (BPR) correctlyMaintains current training requirements and certifications independently

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Previous production experience is preferred along with basic knowledge of mechanical systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to do calculations and conversions using preset formula.

Manufacturing environment:

Compensation:

Shift Differential Pay: 2nd shift is an additional $2/hr and 3rd shift is an additional $3/hr.1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. 2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. 3rd Shift: 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. 

Schedule:

For the duration of their training period operator will work Monday-Friday 5-8 hour shifts on first shift.When operator is fully signed off to work independently they will be moved to their own shift.

Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to see from a distance and close up. Employee is occasionally asked to move or lift inventory weighing upwards of thirty-five (35) pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment of this position is in a manufacturing plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
