Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Technician (Machine Operator), you will operate shaping equipment such as polishing, automatic and manual indexing head coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering machines. You will be responsible for setting up and operating up to three machines simultaneously while working with various sizes and thicknesses of optical filter plates. Your training will begin on the first shift for 3 to 4 months.

Responsibilities

Determine the operation sequence of up to three machines; select programs, adjust speeds, feeds, and depths as required.Perform machine adjustments as specified in production orders and replace dull or damaged tooling as necessary.Provide shaped substrates within process capabilities and inspect and document when process yields fall outside process capabilities.Make standard configuration changes and deliver completed work to the next operational station.Maintain work areas and equipment to ensure they are clean, stocked, operational, and in a safe condition.Adhere to efficient production cycle times.

Essential Skills

1+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related field.US Citizenship.Knowledge in machine operation or mechanical assembly.High School Diploma.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced position where you will be a crucial team member contributing to meeting production goals. Work shifts include 8 AM - 4:30 PM, 12 PM - 8 PM, or 3 PM - 11:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westford, Massachusetts

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
