Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Microbiology Division where you will work on impactful products in a manufacturing setting. Operators are responsible for assisting in the manufacturing process of agars by loading products, checking volumes, ensuring quality, and more.

ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment immediately.Set up and adjust machines to run at different sizes.Obtain correct materials for operation needs from the warehouse or staging area.Organize production flow, ensure material availability, estimate production line progress, and schedule breaks in a safe manner.Accurately document and check personal work for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with inventory processes.Dispense required additives to media, perform pH balance techniques, and investigate and remedy possible production failures.Follow all written procedures, report discrepancies in procedures to the Area Supervisor, and perform all activities safely using personal protective equipment as required.Report property damage and/or safety hazards immediately.Complete production assignments on time according to departmental schedules.Sign off on DHRs and fill in pertinent information in accordance with SOPs.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing and production support.Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Ability to manage inventory efficiently.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.Proficiency in basic math.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 600 lb wheeled kettles.Ability to stand for approximately 10 hours a day.Capability to see and distinguish colors.Work Environment

The work environment includes laboratory and cleanroom settings. The role is based on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. It provides a supportive atmosphere with opportunities for skill development in kit production and large-scale manufacturing, offering a great entry point for individuals with limited experience or those holding an AS or BS degree in science.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.
