Manufacturing Technician - Contract - Durham, NC

Proclinical is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a dynamic team in Durham, NC.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on diabetes-related therapies. This position involves operating and maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to production goals.

Skills & Requirements:

Preferred experience with BioWorks or similar training. Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands. Capability to strap and unstrap pallets manually. May require corrected vision (20-20 or 20-25) and color vision based on role-specific needs. Comfortable ascending/descending ladders and working at elevated heights. Willingness to work around odorous or hazardous materials and in extremely cold environments, if required. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May require wearing latex gloves during certain tasks.

The Manufacturing Technician's responsibilities will be:

Set up, operate, monitor, and control equipment, systems, and processes. Clean and sanitize manufacturing, filling, and packaging rooms and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Execute the production schedule to meet established goals. Handle labeling and components, including transferring, counting, and managing FIFO returns. Actively participate in and support event response activities. Review and author SOPs and other documentation as needed. Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues. Perform or assist with equipment maintenance, including predictive, preventative, and restoration tasks. Train colleagues in areas of expertise and proactively learn new systems and equipment. Record and review production data in batch production records (BPR) and associated forms. Adhere to all safety and environmental requirements while performing duties.
