Job Description
Join our team to work on the cutting-edge IROSA satellite project for NASA. You will be responsible for the fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as Ground Support Equipment, following flight drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesFabricate and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment, according to flight drawings, procedures, and quality standards.Assist engineers in the manufacture and testing of flight and prototype hardware, as well as in the development of test infrastructure and documentation of assembly and test procedures.Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance teams.Collaborate with facilities and maintenance teams to ensure timely maintenance and repair of production equipment.Work with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are clearly understood.Essential SkillsProficiency in electro-mechanical systems and blueprint reading.Experience with schematics, troubleshooting, production, and assembly.Ability to perform soldering tasks and use hand tools such as crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsCurrent Solder, Harnessing/Crimping certification to J or NASA-Standards.Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures.Experience operating electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment.Experience with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other commonly used chemicals in manufacturing.Work Environment
The position is based in a clean room environment. While there are no holiday or vacation benefits for contract employees, the company offers a 401k plan, weeks of vacation immediately after signing, an 8% yearly performance-based bonus, and full benefits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
