What You will Do:
Assisting manufacturing engineers in various tasks, including process development, production design, and troubleshootingReview old manufacturing books and reprint new ones due to the low demand Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas of improvement, and assisting with implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and quality Identify the old manufacturing book that requires it to be modified to the attention of the Manufacturing EngineerFollow up with the process owners requiring a signature on zero hour returns (ZHR) documentation to be paired up with the manufacturer's partCreate and Maintain detailed documentation of the manufacturing processes and procedures Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the manufacturing processes, working with the Manufacturing Engineers to find solutionsWork Experience
How You Will Get Here:
Associate degree in manufacturing engineering technology or related field. or 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or automotive. College graduates may be consideredStrong understanding of manufacturing processesThe ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutionsClear and concise communication skills are essential for interacting with engineers, technicians, and other team membersMeticulous attention to detail is necessary for tasks such as documentationThe ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others Experience with SAP is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and data entry systems)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the workWork Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NY
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required
Pay rate: $25-$30 per hour/depending on experience
