Location/Division Specific Information:

Our Hillsboro site produces world-class electron microscopes used by scientists and engineers to drive innovation around the globe. This role works collaboratively to produce high-quality systems used in the Semiconductor industry.

Discover Impactful Work:

The Manufacturing Team Lead is responsible for directing a team of hourly colleagues within a test manufacturing environment. The primary responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity and Employee Development. This position works closely with manufacturing leadership and engineering teams to ensure quick resolution to issues affecting the manufacturing build process.

A day in the Life:

Employee Development

Individual development plans

Provide coaching and training to team

Conducting performance evaluations

Give and receive employee feedback

Staffing

Time-card administration and over-time management

PTO and overall attendance tracking

Workload Management

Plan and track daily and weekly production metrics to supervise work in progress

Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss updates on workload

Resolve production problems in real time

Oversee & drive 6S program in areas of ownership

First line of response for manufacturing team when they face problems

Report out results and barriers to execution to upper management

Keys to Success:EducationMinimum of Associate's Degree or equivalent experience with a leadership and/or technical focus

Experience

2+ years of tech manufacturing experience2 + years of experience leading a team of 5+ strongly preferredExperience conducting interviews and making hiring decisions preferredExperience with Windows-based and MS Office programs required (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to lift to 35lbsAbility to sit or stand in a cleanroom for an 8-hour shiftKnowledge of electronics manufacturing, high voltage, and ultra-high vacuumAbility to read work instructions and schematic drawings while performing basic troubleshootingAbility to support projects, perform training and work efficiently as part of cohesive teamsSelf-motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated skills in developing team members to their best potential.Comfortable operating in a cleanroom environment using appropriate PPEStrong sense of personal ownership and accountability for team performanceComfortable communicating and maintaining clear standardsStrong communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language and educational backgroundsFamiliarity with using and creating process maps
