Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and
coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities within a manufacturing
environment, including planning, procurement, inventory, and supplier
performance. This role ensures materials are available to support production
requirements while balancing cost, service, and inventory objectives. The ideal
candidate brings hands-on manufacturing experience, strong cross-functional
communication skills, and a working knowledge of buying and production planning.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Operations Management
Manage overall supply chain execution to support production schedules and customer requirementsCoordinate material flow from suppliers through manufacturing to finished goodsPartner closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teamsIdentify and mitigate supply risks related to materials, capacity, or supplier performanceMonitor and improve KPIs related to service level, inventory, cost, and supplier deliveryPurchasing & Supplier Management
Oversee buying activities to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and servicesMaintain a working understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and purchase order executionBuild and manage supplier relationships focused on quality, delivery, and cost performanceSupport supplier issue resolution, including shortages, quality concerns, and delivery disruptionsCollaborate with strategic sourcing or senior leadership on longer-term supplier initiatives as neededProduction Planning & Inventory
Maintain a foundational understanding of production planning and scheduling conceptsPartner with production planners or schedulers to align material availability with production plansEnsure inventory levels are aligned with demand, production requirements, and working capital targetsSupport inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and excess/obsolete inventory reduction effortsAssist in balancing short-term production needs with longer-term planning objectivesSystems, Process & Continuous Improvement
Ensure accurate supply chain master data and transactions within ERP/MRP systemsAnalyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, procurement, and inventory controlAssist with standardizing processes, documentation, and best practices across the supply chainRequired Qualifications
5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or operations within a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of purchasing/buying and supplier managementBasic to intermediate understanding of production planning and scheduling principlesExperience working cross-functionally within a plant or manufacturing settingProficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required)Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in discrete, batch, or process manufacturing environmentsExposure to Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesExperience managing or mentoring supply chain or materials team membersWork Environment
Manufacturing / plant-based environment with regular interaction on the shop floorMay require flexibility to support production schedules, inventory events, or supplier issuesJob Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Easton, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
