Manufacturing Software Support Engineer

We are seeking an entry-level engineer to be the first point of contact for the servicedesk, handling tickets to keep our digital engineering software tools running smoothly across North American manufacturing sites. The role offers handson exposure to factory software, opportunities to learn software development, and provides a solid foundation for a career in site reliability and DevOps. **Key Responsibilities** + Support the deployment, configuration, and continuous improvement of software systems for factory operations, including those that interact directly with customers + Respond to servicedesk tickets, investigate and resolve issues that affect the operation of digitalengineering applications in the factories. + Monitor basic health metrics (CPU, RAM, storage) on Windows workstations and VMs and report abnormal conditions. + Learn and apply fundamental backend development concepts (e.g., Python scripting) to automate simple remediation steps. + Document incident details, steps taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system; contribute to runbooks and knowledgebase articles. + Participate in onsite rotations with factory teams, gaining exposure to physical hardware and the manufacturing environment. **Learning Opportunities** + Handson training with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana (basic metric collection and dashboard creation). + Introductory experience with automation/orchestration tools like Ansible. + Mentorship from senior engineers on servicediscovery, healthchecking, and reliability best practices. **Hybrid:** Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform work onsite, some efforts may be (mostly) full-time on-site. Work that can be done remotely will allow for a hybrid working environment. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** **Required Education & Skills** + Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. + Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities; comfortable working in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment. + Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems (including legacy versions such as Windows7) and networking concepts. + Familiarity with Python or a comparable scripting language is a plus, but not required; onthejob training will be provided. + Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
