The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Manufacturing Services Manager to ensure the organisation’s objectives and goals are delivered. Take responsibility for coordinating, at plant or cell level, the Manufacturing Services organisations service lines, ensuring that all aspects of external Service Provider partnerships are delivered and monitored in line with business requirements.

What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
Work closely with the designated Manufacturing Services Manager in order to deliver the Manufacturing Services objectives providing data analysis and identifying opportunities to improve performance.Coordinate designated aspects of external Service Provider partnerships delivered by Manufacturing Services, in line with business requirements and company standards.Support implementation of the company Health & Safety Standards which may include taking the role of Responsible Person (RP) or Assistant RP for specified activitiesTaking a primary and secondary lead on one of the nine Manufacturing Services key service lines and acting as an escalation point at a cell level for all other Manufacturing services service lines and actions to meet business needs.Act as a subject matter expert on one of the nine Service lines to expand the level of support that Manufacturing Services provide to the business.Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
Have experience in other roles within Manufacturing Services and or a relevant department.Understand the IT systems we use to drive our manufacturing services activities. Competent in the use of the tools to manage Manufacturing Service accountabilities along with a strong understanding of those accountabilities.Good understanding of industry regulations and best practices of asset management and production maintenance.Self-motivated, amiable, energetic individual with strong cross function working behaviours and the ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organisation.Desirable
Have experience of managing contract performance and reporting on KPIs against that performance.Having leadership and knowledge/exposure with continuous improvement methodologies such as six sigma/ LEAN etc.We are an equal opportunities employer. To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
