Salary: $75-85k/year DOE
Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and manage the company's quality control systems to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM, etc.)
-Oversee inspection, testing, and measurement processes for raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods
-Lead, train, and mentor quality inspectors, technicians, and other quality personnel
-Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues, root cause problems, and implement corrective/preventive actions
-Maintain and improve documentation of quality processes, inspection records, and non-conformance reports
-Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001)
-Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party audits
-Analyze data and prepare reports on quality performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime
-Serve as the primary liaison with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
-5+ years of experience in quality management within a metal manufacturing environment (fabrication, machining, casting, welding, or similar)
-Strong knowledge of quality systems, industry standards, and inspection techniques (CMM, hardness testing, tensile testing, etc.)
-Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable certifications
-Proficiency in quality management tools such as FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and root cause analysis
-Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
-Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
-Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
-Proficient with quality software, ERP/MRP systems, and MS Office
-Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
