The role of Quality Engineer involves executing and spearheading quality initiatives aimed at enhancing product and process quality. This is achieved through diligent monitoring, testing, and data analysis to identify and rectify issues, alongside the implementation of effective quality control measures.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Drive and support continuous improvement projects impacting KPI metrics (Line FPY, Customer DPPM) identifying top issues and main drivers through the use of data analytics utilizing Danfoss Quality System policies.
Lead reduction efforts on Cost of Poor Quality metrics (Scrap, Rework, Repair, and Warranty). A key consideration is to prevent the inadvertent use of any suspect or Nonconforming material or product (NCMP) and to implement effective actions to prevent the recurrence of such events.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Operations in the development of Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans, Measurement System Analyses, and Process Capability Methods & Requirements.
Lead structured team problem solving efforts (Six-Sigma, 8D, and Corrective/Preventive Action Reports) to resolve internal/external issues, while meeting effectiveness, and responsiveness metrics, as well to achieve our Quality KPIs.
Support deployment of risk mitigation activities across our value stream, to proactively identify and address potential quality risks.
Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics, and processes to achieve quality goals.
Lead weekly/monthly quality performance and project status review of quality projects.
Drive corrective action and preventive action for timely and effective completion with emphasis on the high impact issues by 4D/8D.
Assist internal process audits and help facilitate corrective and preventive actions for findings.

3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering rolA degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in a Customer Quality Departmen
Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of formal methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Power B
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, industry standards, and quality system
Strong analytical skills for collecting and interpreting dat
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
High attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues
Preferred:
5+ years in Quality Engineering role
Master’s degree in engineering or correlate areas.
Recognized advanced problem solving certification (e.g.: Six Sigma Black Belt, Shainin)
Knowledge with data analytics (Capability, Gage R&R, etc.)
Recognized quality engineering qualification (e.g.: ASQ certification)
Six Sigma Green Belt or black belt certification
2+ years knowledge in SAP system.
