Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing seats and interior components for vehicles. Our facility in New Castle, IN, focuses on seat manufacturing and assembly in a large, well-maintained building. We are seeking two Project Engineers to contribute to new production lines and enhance plant efficiency. Responsibilities + Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, handling up to 20 projects simultaneously. + Implement processes to improve plant efficiency and support new product line launches. + Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely project progression. + Design parts for fixtures using Solidworks and create plant layouts using Autodesk software. + Convert parts/drawings from 3D to 2D as necessary. + Evaluate process flows and create layouts for large projects involving new production lines. + Communicate effectively with various departments to keep projects on schedule. + Adapt to new challenges and work under the direction of a new engineering manager. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in a Project Engineering/Management role in a manufacturing environment with a degree, or 7+ years without a degree. + Experience in project management, PLC troubleshooting, kaizen, and process improvement. + Proficiency in CAD software, especially Solidworks and Autodesk, for plant layout and fixture design. + Ability to lead projects from conception to completion. + Experience working with suppliers and vendors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred. + Experience managing a large number of projects simultaneously. + A balanced experience in Project Management and PLC. Work Environment Work in a clean, quiet, and climate-controlled facility as part of a team of over 600 employees. The facility operates 15 robotic welding lines over three shifts. The position is first shift with core hours from 8 am to 3 pm, offering flexibility for early or alternative schedules. Uniforms are provided, and the company offers world-class benefits, including two annual shutdowns with paid time off. The environment fosters associate engagement and opportunities for internal promotion. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $43.27/hr.
