Job Title: Manufacturing Production Technician

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Production Technician, you will operate a variety of electric and pneumatic power tools, weld materials such as aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel, and operate various machinery including press brakes, shears, drill presses, and overhead cranes. This role involves physical activities such as crouching, bending, reaching, and walking.

Responsibilities

Operate electric power tools including circular saws, drills, grinders, and plasma cutters.Operate pneumatic power tools such as riveting guns, drills, grinders, sanders, cut-off grinders, punches, air hammers, and rivet clinchers.Weld aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel.Operate press brakes, shears, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic iron workers, radial arm saws, and hydraulic hoists.Engage in physical activities such as crouching, bending, reaching, and walking.

Essential Skills

Experience with power and pneumatic tools.Proficiency in welding.Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.Skill in reading a tape measure.Physical ability to stand for 10 hours and lift weights ranging from 10 to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

No required certifications, education, or experience.Willingness to learn how to use hand tools, power tools, and weld/fabricate.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing shop consistently near moving and mechanical parts. Join a team of 120 production employees, typically working in groups of 2-5 people. Adhere to a dress code of steel toe/composite boots, jeans, and at least short sleeves (no shorts, tank tops, or cut-offs allowed). PPE, including a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, will be provided by the company. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with a 1st Shift from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm and a 2nd Shift from 3:15 pm to 1:45 am. Optional overtime is available on Saturdays or by coming in early/leaving late.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Story City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
