The Infrastructure group is responsible for building and maintaining the components, tools, and systems that make up the Power, Z, Quantum Controls, and Circuit Technologies. We are a large team spread across the world with a wide array of specialties and projects, working on everything from power management to silicon design.

**Your role and responsibilities**
* Seeking an individual to work in a manufacturing environment consisting of a mechanical assembly build and test floor.
* This role is responsible for performing tasks according to established build and integration procedures, without supervision (following training and/or certification). A high level of independent judgment and proficiency is required.
* People in this role need to possess a basic range of technical expertise and knowledge as well as an understanding of interdepartmental activities impacting complex integration workflow. This person possesses a basic understanding of IBM and OEM IT hardware to successfully integrate and build the systems and components and repair. The employee uses judgment in choosing the task/routine.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Technical Acumen:
* Mechanically inclined to identify parts and address issues when seen to the greater teams.
Physical Demands:
* Will require periods of standing and physical dexterity to visually inspect machines from top to bottom as well as manipulation of hand tools to adjust when needed.
Communication:
* Strong communication skills required, exchanges information, ideas, and concepts. Ability to interact with engineering quality teams address and rectify issues and convey to greater team to ensure compliance.
Problem Solving:
* Use basic technical knowledge to perform and apply new procedures to the business processes. May recommend improvements to existing technical procedures based on understanding of new technologies.

* Accountable for individual results, and for the impact of the results on the team, interrelated activities, or project.
