Job Title: Manufacturing Planner & Scheduler III
Job Description
The Manufacturing Planner III is a sr-level role focused on end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and material coordination within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position is vital for ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining inventory health, and enhancing production efficiency while supporting new product introductions and business growth. The role involves using complex data analysis and MRP systems to develop cost-effective, executable production schedules that balance demand, capacity, materials, labor, and equipment. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction, revenue performance, and operational scalability.
Responsibilities
Build, manage, and adjust daily production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability.Monitor production execution and address disruptions, shortages, or delays with minimal impact.Maintain and optimize MRP planning parameters to ensure accurate signals and minimize excess inventory.Coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to proactively resolve shortages.Track and report core KPIs including OTIF, backlog, schedule attainment, utilization, and inventory levels.Attend daily management stand-ups and provide clear planning status updates.Identify root causes of stockouts or service failures and drive corrective actions.Support SIOP meetings by identifying and communicating inventory or supply risks.Manage planning documentation such as backlog reports, shortage reports, lead-time analysis, and production orders.Essential Skills
Strong expertise in production planning and scheduling across multiple product lines.In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and excellent computer skills.Proficiency in project management, supply chain, and schedule planning.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of industry health and safety laws.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple complex competing priorities and knowledge of quality control principles.Good math and statistics skills and problem-solving using Practical Process Improvement tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Plan for Every Part (PFEP), and continuous improvement initiatives.Advanced ERP or MRP system optimization beyond standard daily use.Advanced Excel or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) for planning analysis and reporting.Experience in diagnostics, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP) certifications desirable but not required.Exposure to NPI support, product transfers, rebranding, or specification changes.Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing and operations-driven setting, supporting regulated production in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Daily coordination with planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams is expected. The culture emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and communication, valuing problem-solving, continuous improvement, and planning accuracy. High interaction with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Demand Planning, QA/QC, Purchasing, and Customer Service is a key aspect. The role requires being hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
