Manufacturing Planner
Job Title: Manufacturing PlannerJob Description As a Manufacturing Planner, you will implement assembly or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams. You will develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans. Utilizing the established manufacturing process flow, you will define sequences of events, develop text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material. You will communicate with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts, coordinate change incorporation, optimize processes, and address product-ability issues, as well as production and post-production problems. Additionally, you will demonstrate configuration control of the hardware within the manufacturing build plan. Responsibilities + Implement assembly or installation manufacturing plans. + Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams. + Develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans. + Define sequences of events and develop text and graphics work instructions. + Develop manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material. + Communicate with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts. + Coordinate change incorporation and optimize processes. + Address product-ability issues and resolve production and post-production problems. + Demonstrate configuration control of the hardware within the manufacturing build plan. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering Planning Experience. + Strong to excellent general computing skills. + Strong to excellent SAP knowledge. + Ability to take a project from start to finish as a self-starter. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. + Full knowledge of industry practices to maintain configuration control. + Ability to develop solutions to complex problems. + Capability to coordinate with a variety of other organizations. + Willingness to work in the manufacturing environment. + Experience with MBOM & Job planning (routings). + Blueprint reading. + Proficiency in CATIA v5. + Prior experience as a Spirit Employee. + Research skills for special engineering projects. + Ability to create “roadshows” describing changes in .ppt format. Work Environment Work is conducted Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM in an engineering office setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
