Your Role:

 

The Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma will complete the following tasks daily:

Produce and purify chemical compounds to meet the requirements of MilliporeSigma customersStage materials utilizing a variety of warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and Powered Industrial TrucksVerify the quality and integrity of materials and equipmentPerform in-process analytical testing including work-ups and simple interpretations as described in the Master Production RecordUpdate batch records, computer systems and SAP per ISO proceduresFollow and support all safety and quality procedures and systemsShift/Hours: 12 hour night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - 2/2/3 schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)

 

Physical Attributes:

 

Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicalsWork in occasional wet, humid abnormally hot or cold environmentSit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of timeLift and/or move up to 50 poundsWork with and in proximity of hazardous chemicalsUse close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focusUse a range of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipmentWork near moving mechanical parts

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Prior industrial work experience or chemical handlingAssociate's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other science disciplineStrong mechanical proficiency and mathematical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsRead and understand written protocolsUnderstand chemical reactions and hazardsUnderstand ISO and quality systems

 

Pay Range for this position: $21/hour - $37/hour​
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
