Manufacturing Material Planner Placement student

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESTo plan the material requirements and manufacturing workflow in support of the Company’s production schedules. To provide KPIs to help drive manufacturing efficiency and continual improvements.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting in the continued development of manufacturing planning and execution systems.Development and compilation of manufacturing KPIs in support of manufacturing improvements.Analysis of manufacturing activities in terms of adherence to schedules and performance against targets.Maintenance and management of parts supply through manufacturing systems.Providing training and support to manufacturing staff on manufacturing systems.Providing planning support to Work and Material Planning function.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSQualificationsApplicants should be educated to degree level - preferably in Business Management, Information Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering.
ExperienceKnowledge of Manufacturing Systems and an understanding of the principles of Material Planning are desirable.
Work experience in FMCG industry would be beneficial however not essential.
A high degree of Information Technology knowledge and skill (Excel, Access, MS Word, MS Outlook) is desirable.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWorking 37 hours per week, the jobholder will be required to work overtime, often at short notice.

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
