Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, directs his/her efforts towards the effective utilization of labor, materials and equipment ensuring compliance with regulations and Company policies, satisfying customer demands through a cost-effective environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Manages available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient, and productive operation.
+ Assures both short and long-term manufacturing goals are met.
+ Assures compliance to Company’s and Corporate’s rules, and regulations.
+ Supports and facilitates new product launches to assure a successful implementation.
+ Support career development of Facilitator, Maintenance Supervisor, or any other direct reports.
+ Prepares Performance & Development Plan for direct reports. Makes recommendations for salary increases and promotions.
+ Develops and implements new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency.
+ Fosters and enforces compliance with the Quality Policy and the Plant’s Vision.
+ Prepares and/or approves procedures, specifications, policies, and any other official documents.
+ Assures production requirements are met on a daily basis and decides on necessary adjustments to ensure a flexible and efficient operation.
+ Ensures that disciplinary actions follow Company rules and policies.
+ Participates in the selection, acquisition, and installation of new equipment, ensuring these comply with Quality requirements within the process flow.
+ Identifies improvement opportunities related to personnel, equipment, procedures, and processes, and proposes alternatives oriented to optimize these areas.
+ Trains and coaches direct reports acting as a valuable resource in the development of world class manufacturing initiatives. (SPC, CFM, JIT).
+ Manages the Department Budget and provides leadership in financial and capacity planning.
+ Leads and supports site strategic focus areas and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001).
+ Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
+ For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
+ Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
+ Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree is required. Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science preferred. Master’s Degree highly preferred.
+ Requires minimum of 8 years of professional work experience.
+ At least 6 years working in the QSR/ISO environment required - regulated medical device operation preferred.
+ Bilingual (Spanish & English) is required.
+ Advance computer skills and use of software applications such as: Minitab, Excel, Windows, others.
+ Knowledge of CIM, SPC, JIT, ATS, highly desirable.
+ Requires proven leadership, teamwork, initiative, creativity, people and assertiveness skills.
